Black History In The Making

OUR PLACE IN BLACK HISTORY

Minister Tony K. (aka Jauauz LeJade) commemorates that year when we officially made Somers a force to be reckoned with.  Somers.  Where we first began to SQUARE THE LIGHT.  Where we set precedent after precedent.  For those who fought by our side in those turbulent days, let us once again unite in solidarity at the crossroads, and once again tread the singular path.  Where we'll once again endeavor upon a more glorious grind.  Serve a more noble kind of time.  Where we'll once again show them things they've never  seen!

A special mention is reserved for my peers from the Inner Cipher: J. "Sly" B, who was there in the beginning when the dream was first envisioned, and whose clout beyond the walls was vital in making it a reality.  To W. "Slim" P., who encouraged me to become the second Black medical lab technician, and who was also a friend, partner and invaluable source of moral support.  To E. "Touche" R., my reliable devils' advocate and the ever vigilant eye on my 6.  To A. "The Ombudsman" F. for unrelenting  efforts rendered in trying to help publish The House Of Spades.  And, finally, to Jezebel Jade, whose birthday on Valentine's Day marked the highlight of our Black History month celebration, and who inevitably became the inspiration behind Jade Temple.
